Fellow Aiden Filter Brewer
We are fans of the new Fellow Aiden Filter Brewer. I wrote a review, to help out anyone sitting on the fence. It has been a while since we offered any machines for home, apart from La Marzocco. The internet is a marketplace dominated by the lowest prices. The difference is that the few things we sell, we know and openly compare against other machines out there. Also, if you are going to buy a filter machine soon, we recommend this one.
Where ever you buy your Fellow Aiden Filter Brewer from you are on to a good thing. Maybe this will be the catalyst that gets people filling up their take-out cups with fab filter coffee at home (or on the way to work), rather than joining the queue for another characterless commercial dairy and coffee combo.
Without rewriting everything in my review, the basic things that we loved are:
The Simple good looks.
You can switch between brewing anything up to 1.5 litres, down to a single cup. A quick change of basket a filter paper and you are away.
You can adjust parameters in the brew, from bloom percentage and temperatures, or you can select a brew and go. I got very excited about being able to reduce the temperature in each bloom.
When the machine sees your selected brew, and the volume of water, it will automatically calculate how much coffee you need. This is clever and often uses less coffee than you expect.
The jug! It might not have the world’s greatest thermal properties. This is not an issue in our house, we start drinking Great Filter every weekend morning.
