Here is (hopefully) our last Brazilian coffee stop-gap, to see us through until the new crop arrives from our regular producers. Whatever is going on in the world: soft, chocolatey, slightly fruity coffees from Brazil make everyone’s day better.
Translated as “Cafe Owners,” or “Owners of the Coffee” this blend of small farms empowers (mainly) women to thrive in speciality coffee in Brazil. The project has expanded from 3 producers. There is a demand for equality in coffee.

Flavour possibilities.
On opening, there is lots of chocolate that starts as milk and ends as cocoa. As the liquor cools, it sweetens into ripe black grapes, blueberries and fig-like sugars. The body thickens and becomes really creamy on cooling and the chocolate returns at the finish with a little citrus.

Donas do Café project aims to be a vehicle of knowledge exchange, contributing to the work of the women who are partners of Cooxupé and SMC. It’s an initiative that brings the names of female producers to the forefront of their businesses and inserts them in the speciality coffee market.
