I have lived with one of these at home for over a year now, and it’s not coming back to work. There are so many variables that you can adjust. As James Hoffman’s YouTube review showed. There is a lot more right with this brewer, than wrong.
The two main things that I would comment on the brewer are;
- always use soft water for filter brewing, even though your brewer has a small filter in it.
- Brews of up to 1.2 Litres are SO much better with the more angular (cone-shaped) filter paper holder. In fact, if I wanted 2 Litres, I would probably go as far as to say brew 1L twice as it will extract and taste better.
There are some great variants and you can really play with your brew. Also, you can set your machine to brew automatically for you, so coffee awaits you as you get up in the morning.
This is great value compared with a number of other coffee making machines and easy to use.
